Before you arrange a pickup

Three things to get right

  1. Describe the item honestly

Take photos, note dimensions and disclose damage or contamination. For a washer, include whether it works and who will disconnect it.

  2. Confirm the destination

Ask the organisation to assess your item, or check the correct municipal collection or depot rules. An accepted category is not a booking.

  3. Work out who does the lifting

A destination may accept your item without collecting it from your room. Plan stairs, elevators, parking and transport before choosing a route.

The destination is only half the job

A depot fee covers receiving the load. Indoor removal can also include carrying, a vehicle and transport. Compare the complete scope before booking help.

Our sources & how we check them

We compare published City of Toronto rules with each organisation’s acceptance policy. The finder helps you choose what to check next; it does not reserve a pickup or confirm acceptance.
