Give each company the same item list, dimensions, photographs and condition details. State whether the item is inside, curbside or in storage. Describe stairs, elevator booking, parking and the distance to the loading point.

The scope checker separates included, excluded and unknown answers for two proposals. It does not choose the cheapest crew or estimate an unpublished fee. A missing answer remains a question, not a zero-cost inclusion.

Assign preparation and destination responsibilities

Ask who is responsible for dismantling, disconnection and preparing an appliance. Do not assume a hauling company provides plumbing or electrical work. Ask the relevant professional where preparation needs specialist help.

If donation is proposed, confirm the receiving organisation’s acceptance of this item and collection arrangements. A donation listing, recycling claim or collection receipt does not by itself establish the eventual destination of every component.

Check the collector before choosing curbside pickup

City of Orlando publishes a large-item collection option for certain furniture and appliances, with conditions about quantity and items that can be loaded by hand. Larger or heavier items may need a separately arranged service. Confirm the current policy and your property’s service with the City before using it.

The City instructions do not establish eligibility for a county-served or privately collected property simply because the address says Orlando. When the responsible collector is unknown, identify it before moving items outside.

Turn unknowns into follow-up questions

Review each unresolved or excluded field and ask for the specific price or responsibility in writing. An excluded task may need a separate provider; an unknown task needs clarification before the proposal is comparable.
