Measure the load you want to describe
Measure the length, width and height of a rectangular pile or an item’s bounding box in feet. The calculation converts cubic feet to cubic yards by dividing by 27. Add separate loads after calculating them. Gaps, dismantling and packing can change the space actually occupied.
Use volume alongside the item list
Volume does not establish weight, material acceptance, lifting difficulty or the final price. Dense debris and awkward furniture can require a different collection approach even when the calculated volume is similar. Send photographs and a complete item list with the estimate.
Use the collector’s capacity for a comparison
Truck and container capacities vary. Enter a capacity only if you have it from the provider; the tool does not assume every truck holds the same amount. A percentage above 100% means the measured scenario exceeds the capacity you entered, not that a second trip has been quoted.
