What do you do with mattresses, TVs and old fridges?
Getting more calls for mattresses, old TVs and appliances lately. My landfill charges extra for mattresses, won't take TVs at all, and fridges need the freon pulled before they'll take them. What are yall doing with these? Do you charge extra per item? Trying to find a price that covers the fees without losing the job to the next guy

We charge $40-60 extra per mattress and $30-50 per fridge or freezer depending on size. We tell the customer upfront it's a disposal fee and nobody has complained yet
Look up electronics recycling in your city, a lot of places take TVs and computers for free or for a few bucks. Some big box stores take electronics too but check their limits first
Scrap yard pays for fridges and washers once the freon is out. Find an HVAC guy who will recover it cheap or a recycler that takes them as is. Sometimes the metal pays for my gas lol
Don't forget donations for anything in good shape. A lot of ReStores will take furniture and appliances that still work. Saves you the dump fee and customers love hearing their stuff got donated
Ok so disposal fee per item, written in the quote. Didn't know the scrap yard would pay for fridges, thanks everyone
